Las Vegas Adventure Day 4: Mario Kart Racing, The Cosmopolitan, and Homeward Bound

Yay, I'm finally on the last post!  On our last day in Vegas, we took Akemi to go go cart racing.  She opted for this instead of going to the aquarium at Mandalay Bay with her cousin.

We bought some pass that allowed us to go as many times as we liked within a 2 hour period.  Since school was in session in Vegas, we pretty much had the track to ourselves.

I don't know who enjoyed it more, Akemi or her Daddy!  It was like real life Mario Kart racing.

OK I couldn't find the actual footage, but my husband decided to video tape while driving (dummy) and ended up crashing into Akemi!  Geez!

They also had other stuff to do at the racing site.  Akemi didn't go on the other stuff though... This fun slide reminded me of Checkers and Pogo?  Didn't they have a big slide like this?

They also had an arcade.. Akemi was trying to win on Deal or No Deal... I gotta admit that game was kinda fun.

After we finished up kart racing, we headed back to the strip to meet up with everyone else.  Stef never went to the Cosmopolitan and we wanted to eat at Wicked Spoon, so we headed there for dinner.  Here's the amazing chandelier bar!

I think Stef was in heaven with that shoe!

Upstairs, we found this store with a cool display of vintage sewing machines!

Very cool...

Throughout the hotel there's a lot of artwork.  I don't think it's supposed to be this interactive though...

Alas, we made it to the Wicked Spoon.  We ate there the last time we went to Vegas, but were a little disappointed this time..  The food wasn't as good as I remembered.

But if you do happen to go there.. you should stand in line for this!  It's made to order and you can choose what kind of seafood you want in your bouillabaisse. It was pretty awesome.  Best part about the buffet.

I took a bunch of desserts but none really stood out for me this time.  I think I liked the ones at Bacchanal better.

After we finished eating, Stef wanted to play at the casino.  We settled on Brittney Spears and Stef got to hit her baby one more time!

After dinner, we headed back to the Luxor to get ready to check out.  This by far is my favorite picture of the entire trip.  Somehow we fit everyone into this selfie and I think Kyle's facial expression wins!  Makes me happy everytime I look at this pic!

Someone was grouchy that the vacation was ending...  Can you tell who?

I got her to smile later though.

Look who was sleeping on the way home!  He always gets me, but this time I got him!

So ends our Vegas Adventure.  As I'm writing this post, I'm finishing up packing for my next adventure!  Hopefully I'll be able to keep up with my posts this time.  Linda and I are headed back to LA to go to CHA and meet up with some crafty friends!  So excited I'm not even sleepy!  Please check out our next crafty epic adventure right here and on my youtube channel:  Crafty Hilo Girl.  See you soon!
