Lfundoo and Kiki's Epic Crafty Adventure II: Day 7- Downtown LA

Our trip is winding down now and we only have a few days left!  But we have not slowed down, no sireeeeeeee!

Today was in the making for a few months now... our friends took off to hang out with us today!  We were so excited to get the full crafty tour from the professionals!  Vicki, Marisa and Rina picked us up and took us to Downtown LA.  This is the start of our epic day!

First stop was Bead Factory...

I can't believe how many beads this place had!  OMG I was in bead heaven!

See what I mean?!

This is the sequins wall... I had to get some of those too!

Here's a better look.

Next stop was another trim place. Sorry, I forgot the name.  The store ran deep, but I have a feeling we weren't supposed to go back here....

In the front of the store, I found this huge patch. LOL!  Who buys this stuff?

Marisa and I wanted to show you how big that darn patch was!

Ooh, I loved this next store!  They had all kinds of charms for a good price!  Wish I got more.

After bead shopping, we were pretty hungry, so the girls took us to lunch at the San Antonio Winery.  Seriously... I forgot I was still in downtown LA.

I had the mushroom ravioli...

It was super yum! I started chowing down before I remembered to take a photo!

Here we are just chillin...  Ready for my food coma.

The last store we went to was on the "dirty" side of downtown. I was tripping out because we saw Craft House right across the street! Darn it! I had no idea we were in that same area!  We could've taken Michelle and Debi there on Monday.  Oh well, next time... This store was hidden inside one of the larger buildings where there's a lot of small kiosks.  This booth sold lots of hair accessories and boxed ring sets that we use for bling centers of flowers.  I didn't expect to get any, but I ended up getting a few sets.

Ha ha! I saw this sign and laughed.  Had to take a picture.

After our bling haul, we were pretty tired and decided to head back to Anaheim.  Before our departure, we decided to have some dessert at Joe's Italian Ice.  Vicki said that it was good and said Laura (therobnlaura on YT) likes that place.

Holy crap that was good!  We were freezing but it was so worth it!

Enjoying my strawberry...

After Joe's, we headed back to our hotel and said our goodbyes.  Then we relaxed a bit, while packing up a bit.  We then decided to get some dinner and headed to Mimi's Cafe- our fave!  By then I was hungry again and devoured the bread.

Ummmmm, I think we are missing something!

I got the salmon this time.  I think I was still thinking about it from lunchtime when I almost got it for lunch.  It was yummy.

Our last full day in LA is tomorrow.  It's gonna be a fun one!

We have more videos to share... Will post them soon.  Enjoy!

Lfundoo and Kiki's Epic Crafty Adventure II: Day 6- Red Robin, More Shopping, and Panera

Took things easy yesterday... hung out in Anaheim with Leanne Poe!  I met Leanne through blogging a few years and we met her in person the last time we visited.  She's still the same sweet Leanne!

We decided on Red Robin... Linda never ate there yet, so we had to take her.

Leanne ordered the tower of onion rings... This was our faces when our order came!

I ordered this burger... totally can't remember the name but its the unhealthy one.

Thought this baseball flag was neat-o!

Thought this sign was funny!

We had to take a photo with the Red Robin!

After lunch we did more shopping (are you surprised?!)  I found these cute luggage tags at Joann's. I had to get them.

We bought a little at Michaels, Joann's and Dollar Tree.  I think I need to take my husband to Dollar Tree.. He would trip out that you can get a big bag of chips for a dollar!

Then we were tired, so we headed back to the hotel.  Goodbye selfie!

After we got back to the room, we chilled for a bit.  We decided to make the saran wrap game for our meet up this weekend.  I can't wait to play!

Hey!  While watching the news I recognized Rob Fukuzaki!

In the evening, I dragged Linda out again to go to another Michaels.  We ended up eating at Panera Bread.  It was yummy!  I think I really wanted salad.

Ok peeps... getting ready for our next adventure.  I have a feeling today will be pretty epic!

Lfundoo and Kiki's Epic Crafty Adventure II: Day 5- Torrance

Well Hello!  Not tired of us yet?  LOL!  Well, we were a bit tired from all that shopping and whatnot.  So since it was just us for today, we decided to take it easy today.. Don't get me wrong, we still went out and shopped, but it was at a more relaxed pace...
..
Here we go!  First of all, we didn't leave our hotel until about 10:00am.  We decided to seek out the hotel that we need to transfer to later in our trip to see if it was questionable or not.  Truth be told, I booked a hotel through hotwire.  I've never done that before, but it was so cheap!  Then Linda read something on the internet (cause that's always the truth right?!), so we were a bit hesitant on what to expect.  So we decided to drive by it today to see if it was decent or not.  We were happy with how the lobby and restrooms looked and decided that we'll give it a chance instead of cancelling our reservation (which is non-refundable by the way).  More on this later...

So our next stop- undocumented with photos, was at Ulta Beauty.  I've always wanted to go there and Linda wanted to go too, so we stopped there first.  She got some stuff... I forget what now though.  Sorry! I was too overwhelmed to get anything, so I passed.

I had to get a bag since I have so much stuff to pack. I was going to go to Walmart, but I decided to check out Ross instead.  Good thing! I found a rolling samsonite duffel bag for only $40, so I'm gonna use that.  Yay!

After Ross, we headed towards Torrance...  My husband never asks me to buy him anything.  Period.  But when I asked him if he wanted anything from LA, he asked me to go to a taiko store to pick up some bachi for him.  I couldn't refuse.  That store is in Torrance, which is pretty far from our hotel, but I coaxed Linda into it by promising her we could go to the good Daiso.  LOL!  Just kidding, I didn't have to convince her.

So the taiko store was not open until noon and we got there about 11:30, so we decided to look for Daiso.  We eventually found it and Mitsuwa Marketplace.  We headed to Daiso first and shopped some more. I found some kitchen stuff and Linda got all kinds of goodies.  I also picked up more of those Jagabee shoyu butter fries!  Yum!

So Daiso is always entertaining... I showed you the banana cutter the other day, and this time I found the banana case!  LOL!  My husband actually posted the banana case the first time we went to Japan cause he thought it was so funny.  It's still funny 5 years later!

If you don't like the long banana cutter, you might want to opt for this one instead.

After shopping, I was starving!  So we tried Mitsuwa Marketplace to see what they had.  I got the katsu curry and Linda got the tempiura bowl.

Her's looked super yummy.  But I think it put her in a food coma cause she was sleepy after this meal!

I forgot to take a picture of my dessert but I ended up buying the strawberry shortcake mochido (donut) and a mochicream.  Both have cream filling and other goodies inside mochi.

Here's what they looked like.  So pretty!  I got the sakura mochicream.  Haven't eaten it yet.

After lunch we shopped at the stationary store and then headed to Asano Taiko.  My husband knows someone who works there, so they face timed so he could get exactly what he wanted.

Sorry, he wanted me to take pictures of the shop...

A panoramic view...

After Asano Taiko, we decided to seek out Tuesday Morning.  Through the holidays we've heard so much about Tuesday morning an the dollar stores, that we want to try to go to all of them.  Well, let's just say that Tuesday morning is probably a hit or miss type of store and the one we went to was disappointing.  After our letdown, we decided to head back to the hotel.

Before dropping Linda off, I had to get her some dinner.  She chose In-N-Out Burger since she never tried it before.  I couldn't stick around for the review.... I had to go to Huntington Beach to visit my bro and his family.

We had a nice dinner at Red Table Restaurant.  Never tried that place before but it was pretty good!  I really liked their burger.  Sorry folks, it was just too darn dark in there to get a food pic.  We ended up sharing several entrees and furikake fries.

After dinner we went to Trader Joe's so I could get some omiyage for the office and for our family.

Didn't even get a pic with my family, but I'll see them again soon, so I'll get one then.  Meeting up with a friend tomorrow so we have more fun up ahead!

Lfundoo and Kiki's Epic Crafty Adventure II: Day 4- Outlet Shopping, Casino, and Anaheim Packing House

Looking back at my trip posts, I can't believe how much we've done so far!  It seems like weeks ago we wet to Crustaceans!

Day 4 is Michelle's last full day in LA!  We had lots to do, so we started off with a good breakfast!

Then we headed to the Citadel Outlet Mall.  Everyone was so excited!

First stop was the restroom... Man, that restroom looked like a hotel!  This was called the "Mommy Lounge", I guess it can be used for breastfeeding moms.  By far the nicest public restroom I've been to!

OK I think there was some serious shopping going on yesterday cause this is the only photo I got... I didn't even take this one!  Michelle was having fun shopping at Kate Spade!

After we did some power shopping, it was time for a snack.  Everyone was jealous that I had a banana left over from breakfast to eat with my brownie. LOL!

After we did a lot of damage at the outlet, we went next door to a casino.  I just wanted to see what a casino looked like outside of Vegas.

Truth be told, we only stayed in there for like 5 minutes.  It was very different from Vegas casinos.  We found out it wasn't an Indian casino like we thought.  There were no slot machines whatsoever, only tables.  It was not our style, so we left in a hurry... at least I got to see inside!

After the casino, we started getting hungry.  Debi suggested we try the Anaheim Packing House that she went to the other day.  We were all game and headed back to Anaheim.  OK it's hard to tell from this pic but that's a rooster behind us!

At first we wandered around the place just to take it all in...  Its really hard to see but downstairs, there are swings!  They were occupied the whole time so we couldn't take pictures on it.

Saw this while we were wandering around.  I thought my husband would get a kick out of it!  They had other star wars drawings on their board too, but I thought I wasn't supposed to take pictures!

So this little guy is the clue to get to a hidden restaurant...

They were nice enough to show us the menu.. you gotta make reservations first, then try to find the darn place!  No signage whatsoever.

I decided to have some ramen for dinner. This is the buzzer they give you when your food is ready.

OMG their tonkotsu ramen was so good!

Although I didn't try this place, I texted this picture to my daughter... she would love it!

At Orange Tei, they sell popcorn?  This one was described as having a shoyu butter sauce, so I grabbed a bag.  It was pretty good!  They didn't have any of the matcha one, but I got a taste of that and it was good too.

Then it was dessert time!  Debi told us about this Pop Bar!  They have these premade popsicles, only they are made of gelato or sorbetto.  Yummy!  Then you can have them dipped and rolled in other goodies.

OMG it was so ono! I had the green tea dipped in dark chocolate and rolled in waffle cone!  I'm definitely taking my family here when we come back!

After an hanging out for a few hours at the Anaheim Packing House, it was time for us to part ways.  I had a blast with my Hilo girls!  See you ladies back home.  We made some good memories!

Last pic of the night... Since we ate so early, I got a little hungry while trying to roll my lace up.  Linda reminded me to try this snack before we go out tomorrow since I want to see if I should buy more.  OMG this is so ono!  I need to find more of these when we go to Daiso!

So that concludes Day 4.  Our trip is about half over and we still have more adventures ahead! See you soon!
